What exactly is MICR? "Magnetic Ink Character Recognition", or "MICR", is a unique character recognition technology adopted mainly by the banking industry to expedite while securing the processing of checks. MICR fonts are a special, unique and typically printed towards the bottom of the check. MICR Toner: MICR Toner provides the consumer the ability to print checks using a desktop laser printer with blank check stock. The toners are special formulas with a special grade of magnetic iron oxide which provides the characters with a magnetic signal. What do i need to print my own checks?
